Zimbabwe Artists Project

1) The pig once climbed a tree to collect some honey, and he was stung on his upper lip.  His nose became fat like it is today.

2) The small rat under the tree was angry because it wanted the honey, and he became anxious.

3) An owl wanted to see what was going on, and so his eyes became extra big.

4) The hare wanted to hear what was taking place and his ears became big as we see them now.

5) The giraffe was away from the area and rushed back to look at what was being talked about, and his neck became long as it is today.

This story was handwritten by the artist.  The original is attached to the back of the painting.  (9” x 9”)
