Precious Mafoti
Precious was born in Chivu in 1969, one of 5 children. She attended school through eighth grade, stopping for lack of money to continue. She is a single mother of her daughter, Nyasha, who was born in 1996. Precious came to Weya in 2000 at the invitation of her aunt, appliqué-maker Agnes Mpofu, so that she could learn to do art and thus support herself and her daughter. She has learned to paint from Elinera Mugadza. Favorite art topics include polygamy and folk tales.
